Viabet capsule contains fenugreek (Trigonella foenum-graecum L.), nettle (Urtica dioica L.), cinnamon (Cinnamomum cassia (L.) J.Presl), stevia (Stevia rebaudiana Bertoni)

side effects

  • In some cases, gastrointestinal side effects such as nausea, fullness, diarrhea and rarely headaches at the start of treatment and double vision, muscle pain, reduce blood pressure and some kidney complications have been reported
  • . In people with a history of allergy to these plants, some skin
  • reactions, itching and runny nose has been observed.
    Contraindications & Precautions
    Do not use in people with a history of allergy to plants such as peanuts, soy, cinnamon and nettle.
    Do not use in children under 12.
    Do not use in patients suffering with duodenal ulcer, narrowing of the esophagus, difficulty in swallowing and gastrointestinal obstruction.
    In patients with liver diseases, avoid using Viabet at higher doses than the recommended dose.

Mechanism of action

  • Viabet capsules help blood sugar reduction with multiple mechanisms. For instance, it delays the absorption rate of carbohydrates, specifically glucose and prevents its transmission in the digestive tract which increases usage of glucose in peripheral tissues. Also, this capsule, with a direct effect on pancreatic cells, stimulates insulin secretion and therefore reduces blood sugar. Moreover, ingredients in this capsule prevent the production of glucose and also increase the number of insulin receptors in red blood cells.

Interferences

  •  در افراد با سابقه آلرژی به مواد گیاهی مانند بادامـ زمینی، سویا، دارچین و گزنه و نیز در کودکان زیر 12 سال مصرف نشود.
  •  در افراد مبتلـا به زخمـ اثنی عشر، باریکی مری، دشواری بلع و انسداد معدی- روده‌ای مصرف نشود.
  • در بیماران کبدی در دوزهای بالـاتر از دوز توصیه شده مصرف نشود.
