Mechanism of action

  • The main cause of androgenic hair loss is testosterone conversion to dihydrotestosterone (DHT) in the sebaceous glands of the skin. This conversion is done by the 5-alpha reductase enzyme. Green tea and nettle extracts, by inhibiting the 5-alpha-reductase enzyme and thus inhibiting the formation of DHT, prevent production of excess fat in the scalp and cause an improvement on hair dandruff and prevent male hair loss. The caffeine in tea by penetrating in hair follicles provides the required energy for growing hair and thus stimulates hair growth. Extracts used in this toner including green tea, nettle, rosemary, christ ‘s thron jujube can help to remove excessive fat in the scalp. Due to high levels of tannin, these extracts have significant astringent effect and thereby reduce fat in the scalp.
  • Flavonoids and phenolic acids found in extracts of rosemary, chamomile and capsicum has anti-inflammatory and antioxidan effects and relieves itching and inflammation of the scalp and also protect the hair and scalp against harmful external factors and materials. In addition, plant sterols in rice extract and its oil, as well as extracts of horsetail, nettle and cedar with anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effect, have similar impacts.
  • Brittle and damaged hair needs a gradual and structural treatment to restore them and prevent further damage. Horsetail extract with a substantial amount of silica and silicic acid derivatives (5-8%) helps to strengthen hair tie and protect the hair. Besides, chamomile extract repairs the hair and make it radiant.
  • Rosemary extracts, Pilocarpus jaborandi and oil of rice crust with vasodilatation scalp, cause improved capillary blood flow and will improve hair growth. Also compounds contained in extracts of Rosemary are effective in many disorders such as dandruff of the scalp and alopecia.
  • Other effective ingredients in this tonic, monosesquiterpene contained in this extracts, has anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and antiseptic features and results in hair dandruff reduction which is the result of fungi factors and cleanse the skin. Also the phenolic compounds in extracts of thyme by having antibacterial effect boost the effect of these materials.
  • Saponins in extracts of christ ‘s thron jujube and thyme act as antiseptic and cleansing the scalp and cause hair to become smooth and shiny.
  • Herbal extracts used in this tonic are full of protein, vitamins, minerals, steroids and starch. Hence, they nourish and strengthen hair roots and lead to scalp health and hair softness.
